Water Distiller Doesn't Work

It should be noted that placing 2 logs into the campfire then leaving the island or sleeping will yield a full bucket of fresh water on returning/waking.

This is a lie, It feels like I only get 1-2 water servings in 24 hours. It felt bugged or doesn't work as intended. All my playthroughts recently I've restarted due to dieing/about to die of dehydration because when I build rain collectors it doesn't rain and when I build water distillers it does ♥♥♥♥ all.

Not having fun due to it being too hard to get fresh water on top of the fact your character is obviously diabetic with how much it needs to drink.

The rain collector is in fact a solar still, that collects condensating water from the ground. It provides for a slow, but constant supply of water.

The water collector works as intended if you follow the instructions above the wiki part you qouted. ;)

If you want to collect rain water, just place an empty bucket on the ground and pray for rain.


P.S.: Mind though, that game wiki's are most often fan made and are usually not officially supported by the developers of the given game, so the information provided will not always be 100% accurate, or might be outdated.

Also can't put crab, snake, or any type of fish on a spit. And guess what? When you cook potatoes it does absolutely nothing! And wait it gets even better, eat them raw and vomit.

Half these "intended" features seem broken and designed by quite the idiot.

I haven't even bothered killing the boar because cooking any of the above ♥♥♥♥ didn't work due to BROKEN FEATURES. I honestly don't care if you believe they're working as intended because apparently you're not playing the same game I am.

What's the point of even having a spit if its not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ useful at all. What's the point of having all this wild life if you can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ eat any of it.

What's the pont of even having other islands if you can't even establish yourself on your FIRST one due to the game being broken as ♥♥♥♥.

This game was great when I bought it over a year ago but whoevers developing turned the game into absolute garbage.

Honestly the only good I've seen done is the fact the game now looks good and runs better than before, to bad the gameplay is non existant and broken.

I honestly don't feel the urge to help someone who takes more effort into placing hearts and insults in a post, instead of reading through the forums, or at least the patch notes.

Except for the potatoe issue, none of the "bugs" you have mentioned are an issue, but part of the gameplay mechanics!
