Do you use the quick craft?
I don't really think it was that important. do you use it? if so, it's just a couple seconds off pressing C and finding (for example) a clay wall. I think it seems a little useless ATM. and plus, when you press C you can see what resources it will take to craft it. (unless I missed something painfully obvious when in the quick craft menu)

I love it, use it all the time. It's especially useful at the start of a game. Stone tools, lashings, fire etc.

QC menu along with items automatically being added to open backpack slots makes some crafting much less monotonous.

I like it and use it a lot, but only for tools, makes repetitive crafting a whole lot faster.
Quick crafting structures, buildings and rafts is a no-no in my world.

I hope this thread isn't dead. I may be missing something but when I hit C, it defaults to quick crafting. When I mash C a few times, the older (and more robust) crafting menu comes up but I can't navigate to it. If I hit C again, it all goes away, and then if I hit C another time, I get to access the larger crafting menu. I can't find any tips on using C since the new quick crafting so again, am I missing something? Thanks if anyone is listening.

Hold down C for the quick menu, use the left mouse button to select item, or release C to exit the quick menu.

Single click C for the regular (larger) crafting menu. This menu has multiple pages accessed by clicking on the headers at the top (crafting, building, consumables, etc.). Single click C again to exit the regular menu (without crafting).

Some items require you to have a building hammer in hand to craft.

Thank you for your reply. I discovered this just after my post but appreciate the time you took to respond.
