Hobo Stove worth it?
Is this thing worth wasting a barrel on?
Barrels only seem to spawn in 3's which is how many you need for a raft part, so if you make 1 stove, you bascily have 2 barrels left just hanging around.

It seems like this is just a more advanced verson of the basic fire.
But the smoker can hold 5 items and actually cooks then smokes only using a few sticks that are the non respawning resource by compare to me.

hobo stove is worth it for just playing around. The hobo stove (in theory) can cook as much meat as you can hold in your inventory at the same time, but then since they're not smoked, you're going to be spending the next few minutes eating all that meat. That and you can take funnier screenshots with them than any of the other cooking appliances like this:

Edit: how you use the hobo stove is: you don't stick the meat into the hobo stove, you just drop your meat(s) ontop of a lit hobo stove. After some waiting, your meats will get cooked.

ya i know, but you can also do this on a camp fire actually, its just harder to get the meat to stay on it, if the meat is within the stone ring, it actually cooks lol.

If its only cooked, it spoils so quickly. I have 2 smokers side by side, and cook 20 meats at a time (2 - 5's on each). It seems to be more efficient so that I'm not cooking all the time ( and kighting fires which is very hard for me, I use a torch for the second fire), but 20 med meats will take most of the night when smoking. Does anybody have a better way? And thanks for the info about the hobo stove. Sounds like it is only good for laughs and an acheivement.

ya, i started thread to see if anyone knew if you could make food you couldent otherwise make, seems like its only good for bulk cooking but since the food spoils so fast, the 5 at a time on the smoker string is more than you can eat as it is, if you are only going for cooked.

I was hoping you could put un skinned fish, and what not on it, along with maybe multipe items that would combine to a fancy dish, if the barrels dident always come in 3's maybe it would be worth it, but i would rather use them for a raft base i think
