Lost Raft?

Just started to play, raft disappeared. Googled it and apparently this has been a known issue since 2015???? not a good first impression guys.

if thats the case then its a good feature, to have the objects interact properly with the game world. but maybe consider mentioning it in the tutorial because its kinda important and I didnt see anything telling me I even *could* drag it. only options were getting on board it and sitting in it. i did try what sounded like "go along with it" or whatever. but all the character did was sit down and float there like a corpse.

yeah i lost my first dingy.. think current just took it away and i didnt notice. I always drag onto beach now! Hold R mouse and move it

yea, ive figured it out and just started over. The part of the tutorial which teaches you that dragging items is even possible happens after you've already left your dinghy so it was like.. wtf? lol

What's really bugging me now is I got poisoned and cant find any material to make an antidote. so im just slowly gonna reach a death. which is kinda like permadeath since you only reload to a previous save in which you are poisoned...

When you enter the raft, you should see 3 different items attached to it... a storage pouch, a paddle attached to a paddle clip, and a sea anchor.

This seems like it should be common sense.... If you want to paddle a raft, pick up the paddle, then sit down and paddle.... (The other option to "go along for the ride" was just recently added as part of the coop feature so the second player can be "attached" to the boat while it's moving).

The raft comes equipped with a sea anchor... It's common sense that an anchor is used to hold a boat in place so it won't float away by currents ... Deploy the anchor before jumping off the raft or you will be watching it float away.

This is a survival game, and as such, there's not a lot of instructional "handholding"...
The tutorials only teach you a few basic things such as how to locate resources and craft them into some basic useful items and not much more.

"how to drag a raft" isn't "important" information.

So this happened to me at start also. It takes quite while to die but your health will go down gradually. You need to craft antidote which is in crafting menu under consumables. I believe you need 2 pipi plants plus coconut flask. There should be one pipi plant on island you land on and then you need find 2nd pipi by going to another nearby island. Later on you can plant and farm plants so there when you need them.

So this happened to me at start also. It takes quite while to die but your health will go down gradually. You need to craft antidote which is in crafting menu under consumables. I believe you need 2 pipi plants plus coconut flask. There should be one pipi plant on island you land on and then you need find 2nd pipi by going to another nearby island. Thanks, I found them. The poison can be annoying and finding pipi was difficult. my starting island had none, but I've started to get fairly established. I'm trying now to figure out farming, I had a potato plant growing. but online resources told me to harvest it by slashing with a knife or other sharp too. and all this did was destroy my farming plot! lol.

If you can't manage to get the antidote, the poisoned effect will go away after 72 hours.

Farming is simply a matter of keeping the farming plot properly watered...

Use coconut flask, leather waterskin or clay jar to transfer water to the plot until it's full.... Rain will help keep it watered but it's always a good idea to check on it fairly often.

Once your plant reaches full size, the potato ( or whatever you are growing) will show up and you simply harvest it just the same way you would on any wild plant.

The plant will stay there and start it's growing cycle all over again.

When did they change that last time I got poisoned and couldn’t find any pipis I ended up dying after a lot more than 72 hours it just wouldn’t seem to go away and I just couldn’t find any pipis anywhere so had to start again and that was after completely emptying 3 islands of all non renewable resources and setting up a nice base
