Builder Mode?
Just here wondering what the point to "Builder Mode" is?

I was expecting to be able to freely build and mess around without eating, drinking, gathering stuff, god mode etc, But it's legit pointless?

Should there be a "Creative Mode", Well Hell yes! Being able to build huge Houses etc on an island would be the best addition to the game haha

While there is no "creative mode" implemented, there IS a way to give yourself all the resources and items you want.

This will, of course, take away the challenge of the game (the survival aspect) and allow you to create a huge tropical island home etc.

Open the cartographer and create a new custom island... stock it up with unrealistic amounts of resources / items / shipwrecks / animals / parts then save it and drag it onto your map... save the map.

I sometimes make these "stockpile Islands" when I feel like building a huge base and don't want to be bothered to cruise around to multiple islands searching for that stuff.

Once you have a grasp at making an actual (visually pleasing) Island, you can custom make the island you want to build your base on ( flatten out large beach area or even create caves etc.)

The more you experiment with the Island creator, the better you can get at making beautiful custom islands to play on.

Note that doing this will not remove the need to eat and drink, but you can simply drop a bunch of rations on your stockpile island as well as all the potions (ie. antidotes) so the "survival" aspect is gone and when you need to eat or drink just snack on some rations.

This is, by no means, a full-on creative mode, but a nice solution for making huge bases etc without all the searching for resources.... simply sail over to your stockpile island, grab resources, sail home and enjoy building that perfect base.

The modes are placeholders for now, their functionality will be implemented later.
