saved game is gone?
is this happening to anyone else? the continue option isnt there anymore

When there is an update, the saved games are gone and you have to start over. Been this way since the start.

considering how this is the first time thats happened to me and there have been MANY updates, no it has not.

I have over 1200 hours in this game, and, NEVER had that happen...

Being an early access, it would be advisable to start a new game after every update.. but not a requirement.

Just remember, don't start complaining about an update unless you have started a new seed affter the update..

I've lost a two games as a result of glitches. The first one never loaded past the "cleaning up zone" screen and the second was the drowning glitch. The first lost sucked as I had over 400+ days of survival, three rafts including a barge and was pretty much living in a swiss family Robinson style mansion of scrap metal, planks and wood and bricks. This was just annoying but I've already started a fresh game because everything I tried wouldn't restore my save.

I understand the frustration, you just have to take it in your stride.

If the game was out of early access, I'd be furious..
