Killing a shark
How many times do you have to shoot a tiger shark with a spear gun? I have shot one atleast 15 times and he still swims around(no I did not miss!). maybe we could have a rope attached to it.... and pull him from the water?

10 hits with a speargun will kill a Tiger shark, you have either missed or it has been 2 different Tiger sharks you have been fighting - I have never seen a Tiger shark require more hits than others :)

Isn't it like 10 with a crude spear? Or maybe a little more? I hoenstly can't remember. if so, what is the point of making a spear gun? does it shoot farther or harder? or what?

Crude spears, bow, speargun, refined axe or refined pick is all 10 hits to kill a Tiger shark, the only more effective weapon is refined spears which does twice the damage(when thrown).

The biggest advantage to the speargun vs spears is that you don't have to compensate for drop depending on the angle and distance, speargun is fairly accurate and fast even on long distance :)

No refined spears are the strongest and also the most expensive weapon to craft, 5 of these bad boys will kill a Tiger shark :)

This, and just to mention another great advantage of the speargun: it's arrows stack at least up to 20 in your inventory. So you can carry a big amount of arrows with you. Spears, no matter if crude or refined spears, only stack up to 4, so those will require much more space of your inventory.
