made the loom butr from what i have seen in the discussions i have to have the look and the fiber in hand to make cloth. I have enough fiber to make cloth but it wont come up in the quick menu
You have to place the loom, just like any other work station, in order to "use" it.
After the loom is placed on the ground somewhere, and while having the materials (fibrous leaves) either in your inventory or placed on the ground nearby or a combination of both, stand near the loom and open the main crafting menu (tap C) and find the cloth recipe.
The thing with the quick crafting menu is that it is set up to display "commonly-used" items which are available for crafting with whatever materials are in proximity, on the ground or in the inventory.
If the player has a lot of various resources in their inventory, (or on the ground nearby), such as sticks and stones and leaves, the quick crafting menu will fill up with recipes for "common" items such as spears, tinder bundle, sharpened rock, lashings etc, before anything else, and will often "fill" up the quick crafting menu meaning it won't display the recipe you may be looking for because there's no room to do so. Don't rely on the quick crafting menu to show every recipe, every time. Far better off opening the main crafting menu which has ALL the recipes.
