Buy the way, I don't see the splint in the craft menu.
Update: I found the receipt. I didn't notice, there is "consumable" section on top left side of the crafting panel.
Options: you can still paddle. Take the yellow raft to the next island, and (hopefully) avoid any baddies that want to maul you, to get more fibrous leaves.
Or... If you are on the very first island, first tree... You can't be that many days/hours into the game. Just start over, with a lesson learned to not climb the trees to get the coconuts. chop down the palm tree to get the coconut, or jump to pick it (on the short trees), or take a fishing spear you may have randomly found in a loot crate and throw it at a coconut to make it fall. I literally never climb the trees anymore, ever.
Thanks for the tips. I did restart, as with this slow movement, I felt dead already.
Basically, the game seems to punish (kill) you, if you start that badly at day 1.
yes, if you get hurt on day 1, your crafting level and supplies usually make it hard to recover. Once you are established, it's pretty easy to recover from most issues. Once you get established actual "survival" (food/water, try not to get hurt) is relatively easy to do.
Have fun and "survive", lol.
