Coconut Flask

I have everything you need to make a coconut flask everything but it will not pop up why? What am I doing wrong I tried the quick craft menu and I tried the crafting menu and I looked under everything it will not pop up

Not sure if this is the issue but do you have it on the ground in view or holding it in backpack? If on ground I have seen issues with game not having everything in view. I have had to move things to make an item. But I am pretty new player. I am sure someone else can help!

Coconut flask recipe is in main crafting menu under "consumables" tab.

Make sure you use an unused coconut, right from the tree, and not one that has been "opened" for drinking" already.... once you make the flask you can drink the contents.

yeah i have a brand new unused one somehow it did pop up but im on a new island now and im running into the same problem again I cant seem to be able to make one

I'm trying to understand what the issue is here...

Every craft-able item in the game, should be listed in the main crafting menu... it does not matter if you have the materials or not.... all the items are listed...

So try this.... gather (unused) coconut... craft lashings... open quick crafting menu... if the coconut flask isn't showing there, open main crafting menu... select "consumables" tab... find coconut flask and craft it.

About the quick crafting menu...

Any time you have a variety of materials in your inventory.... sticks, rocks, leaves,... the quick crafting menu will populate with the most basic recipes first... such as camp fire, stone tool, lashing, kindling, spear, fishing spear, etc. until it runs out of spaces... as long as the quick menu is filled up with all the basic recipes, it won't show "other" less- basic ones, which then requires you to open up main menu and crafting it from there.

If you only had coconut and lashings in your bags, i bet money that the coconut flask would show on quick crafting menu.

nope I will have both items in my bag and it doesnt show now what I did notice I just bought the game not to longago when I found out it wasnt abandoned but I was trying to find the coconut flask again and I started hitting stuff on the top of the crafting menu and found different craft items I knew whe had the 4 on top but I did end up finding it on a diffrent caft menu but I still cant get it to show up on my quick craft at all even if I have everything in there

Hi....coming back to play after a few months, there is no option to craft coconut flask to build a distill. Dam the general bush graphic looks so crap in a game that looks and runs so good, hope this get's a fix too.

the coconut flask is under the CONSUMABLES tab in the main crafting menu... I have explained this twice already so now I will "show" it with a screenshot...

If you have the materials, you can craft the item directly from the main menu... left click it and it is crafted.

The quick crafting menu only has enough space to show 8 items at a time... If you have sticks in your backpack, the quick crafting menu is going to show items that can be made with sticks, before anything else since a LOT of items can be made with sticks, it shows those items FIRST.

IF you ONLY have the items for coconut flask (as an example) in your backpack...

The quick crafting menu will fill up with items made with sticks FIRST and leaves no room to show the coconut flask option...

In this case you will have to either drop all the sticks ( which will allow the flask to show) OR open the main crafting menu and craft it from there.

I'm wondering if you can fill them with water from ground water and then put them over the fire? I see I can attach the flask to the spit!

i said I found it under the consumable menu if you read mine clearly It WONT pop up under quick craft thats what I said

My last response was posted with pictures and clear, easy text to explain to EVERYONE who might read this post, answering the question of why some items won't show up in quick craft (too many other items in backpack), and how to solve the "issue" (remove some of the other items).

If you ever want to craft an item, and it isn't popping up in quick craft, open up main crafting and craft it from there.
