Flying shark attacks
Last week I was working at the beach and heard the typically sound of a shark. I turned to the see and saw it flying towards me and it bites me. That was a nice effect for a new horror game. I had this flying shark attacks now several times and on different islands and games. A good thing is, they do only scratches in a 'normal' game.

Not had that. It would be a nice mechanic if the sharks were more reluctant to attack when the player keeps eye contact with them (looks in their direction) much more faithful to real shark behavior. Most real Sharks are no where near as brave or aggressive as those in SD

They actually used to react in this way when facing them down, it was a very viable way to reduce the amount of Shark Dolphin hugs and improve your chances of getting away. The good Sir, :headcrab::Crowned: Skarmo wrote about it in his guide

Here is the part although it is outdated now and I don't think it works anymore: :whine:

You encounter sharks while being on the water or underwater:
Know that sharks will less likely attack you, when you look at them. They prefer clueless victims. If sharks are on the track of you, and you panic and try to flee blindly, they will chase you, because this is the exact moment that you are easy meat. Keep eye contact with them to hold them at distance. When they turn their back on you, you can try to escape into the opposite direction. But watch out! Once they have found interest in you, they will come back and search for you, and when they find you, you must be ready to "hypnotize" them again. If a shark rushes towards you directly (although you are staring at it), try to swim or to dive sidewards in order to avoid the attack.

It was totaly random that I faced it in this moment.
Sometimes it happends from behind or the side and I hear the impact and reaction of my char to the bite. And sometimes I can see the shark for a very short moment in my screen and sometimes I don't see it. So at the first time I thought it was a crab :)
