How do I play my custom maps?

I've built custom maps and don't know how to actually start on the island I made. Is this stil possible? Or do you need to find the island?

Go to the new "Cartographer" Make a map Then where you see the current world your playing on Look to the right of the screen you'll see the islands you've made Left click and drag to where you want to put it on the map then click save and then play your world and it will have your custom island :)

I went to Cartographer and made a map. Then I dragged the new island to the spot just left of the island in the middle (the island that is highlighted in red) I saved it and then backed out to the new menu and clicked new game. Am I suppossed to spawn on my island I made? Or do I have to go find it in the world?

Nevermind, I found my island! Thanks for your help man. I was so confused lol.

i think you should be able to spawn on the island you made not have to search for it.

The only way I've found to do it is this: You start a game, go to any island other than the one you spawned on, then place a shelter and save. Then you exit the game and go to Cartographer and drag your map to the middle square as that is always your spawn location and then start a new game. Hopefully they'll give an easier method later, but that's it as far as I can tell.
