Shark-proof raft?
When I first started the game, I had a pretty hard time using the life raft and paddle, as the sharks easily knock it over. Not sure if it's the same for everyone but once this happens to me it's game over - I can find no way to get back onto the raft (pressing and holding jump key, attemping to jump, etc don't work, and shark kills me before I reach shore).

Once I got the sail raft though things are much better and I haven't had a shark attack since as I'm travelling fast enough to avoid them. But I was wondering if it's possible to build a raft so huge that the sharks can't knock it over, or even move it much at all? So much so that you can stand on the edge of the raft and hunt sharks with it?

Just don't go near the edge. I have a 3x4 raft and I don't get knocked off any more.

I've got a 2x3 raft and I dont get knocked off by sharks either. Many ways to do this. But If you want to feel safe.....go for a really big raft.

Tiger sharks can't knock over a 3x3 raft, period.

A larger raft such as a 2x3 or a 3x3 are much more stable, but keep in mind that if you hunt sharks from it and you use spears, the porcupine shark can still flip your raft using the spears in it's back.......best to use arrows from a raft or speargun arrows.
Or jump in and use an axe or machette.
BTW...it's relatively easy to flip your capsized dinghy.....you'll never get on top of a capsized dinghy but by using the throw function you can flip it back over.

Sharks used to kill me under the sand, so my favorite shark proof raft is a hut.
