rawhide cooking

first time playing only problem im going through is when i killed a tiger shark i tried to cook the meat in my fire place fire pit and fire split and it wont cook any ideas?

Rawhide is for making leather, you don't cook and eat it.

A tiger yields 3 meat, and 3 rawhide, cook the meat only..

Make a smoker, and smoke the meat... it lasts forever that way..

If you just cook it on a fire, spit or hobo, it goes off after about a day.

okay so i just keep skinning it until meat shows up

And just to mention it, dead animals seem not to go away or spoil, so I basically only harvest a shark 3 times for the leather and then one by one of the meats if I'm hungry 2 bars. Until its cooked up it should be good to fill up 3 bars. That way you can keep the "meat" for a long time if you dont have or use a smoker.
Also got a big pile of fish and crabs, you know, for the change from time to time :D
