Tanning Rack

I'm new to the game and can't seem to figure out how to use the tanning rack! Can someone tell me what I need to do? (I'm sure when I find out it's gonna be a facepalm moment!)

When you craft a tanning rack you just bring the rawhide near it, go to your crafting menu and you can craft the rawhide into leather. You just need to be near the tanning rack, you don't physically interact with it.

have the skins nearby or in hand. go to crafting and select the one for leather.

havent done this much but i think that is it. btw welcome to fun room

Maybe a weird question, but have you hunted any blacktip shark, tiger shark, great white or boar? When you skin them they give you rawhide and meat. With the rawhide in your inventory or in your hand or anywhere near the tanning rack you can make leather.

yes. the black tip i believe will give you two hides and two meats. the tiger three hides and three meats. the great white four hides and four meats. you can also get hides and meat from the boar. you can kill the stingray and get meat but not the marlin yet.
