How to flip giant raft
So I made a giant raft. I can't even describe it properly. I would say this raft is 3x6 with a little bit of "wings" (not sure if that is the correct the term to use, but it certainly looks like a wing) for stability. It was very difficult to navigate but it allowed me to carry items I can't carry with a smaller raft.

One late afternoon I was on my way to my main island and in the raft was 2 container wall and 1 container door. The raft was very slow considering the load it was carrying. I spotted a a great white. The shark circled around the raft a few times before deciding to attack.

This flipped my massive raft over. I was able to escape and found a way to drag my massive raft back to my main island. So I guess my question is, how the heck do I flip this raft back? I've tried numerous times but can't seem to flip it back into position.

If I have no way of flipping this raft, I will probably restart the game :D

Well that's unfortunate :steamsad: If you happen to run out of ideas, you might always want to try god mode. (console - command - devtools.god)

yeah man , use the console , just flip it and then disable it

I had a big raft that flipped once, my solution was to drag it out to deep water and then diving while dragging the raft with me turning it under water and then letting it go, took 3 tries before it was the right side up :)

sounds to me from your description your making a catamaran, anyway, flip it over...

by swimming up at it from under the water, have something in your hand and aim for on edge (or) drag it to a large(ish) rock pull it up as high as ya can jump in the air towards it

YES! Catamaran is the word.

No go, can't find a rock high enough. The raft is bigger than the rock so that's the problem.

I don't want to use the console because once I start using it, I know I will use it again and again and again. So I'd rather not.

Anyway, I guess it's time to start a new game.

I usually just quit the game and go back to my last save when that happens, and it does happen.

Build a tower high enough and then flip it. Thats how I had to do it with my large raft.

Put the raft in water a few feet deep, cut a tree down and drag it under the raft, then stand on the raft and grab the tree and lift it, then move in direction that will flip the raft, be prepared to fall

yea i flipped my raft while pressing space to climb while i was draggin a shark and didn't know it would make the giant raft flip over super fast. i keep trying to drag flip it and get it almost vertical then it falls back before i can do anything. really need a flip raft option PLEASE PLEASE i didn't save wasn't able to for a long time and also

i tried placing many logs on my raft and didn't know it would make it overweight but then the logs also blocked my direct line of sight to the raft rudder and i was stuck couldn't even press escape to quit the game come on i know its early access or whatever but geeeeez.

2020...

I'm sorry, but there is a simple solution. Use shark repellant so they don't interfere. Drag the raft to deep water. You di8dn't say if you were console or PC. How ever you drag a raft or anything ashore. Get in the water and grab the base of the raft in the way mentioned above. Do not let go. Swim down, thgen under, and then up with the raft. This will flip it back. It may take a few times to get use to this method, but I guarantee that it works with any raft up to 9x9. It may work higher, but I've never tried it.

Also, multiple sails will not make you go faster than the capped speed for sails; but when using a large raft or carrying a heavy load. they add umph (torque) to you to overcome the resistance of the load and raft (and waves). In a time trial that I did with a load of 2 tyres. Three sails vs one sail cut by a factor of three the time it took to to go between two islands when all other factors were kept the same.

This worked wonders for my 5 x 5 raft. I just had to pull up the anchor before it would work :face_pallm:
