How do you connect rafts?
I see people making rafts more than one square but I can't figure out how to connect them.

I have two rafts as two more raft bases and I can't figure out how to connect any of them.

Thanks for the quick reply. So once I've crafted a base I can't connect them? Balls. Can I deconstruct them and start over or just sol?

You can only connect as you build....

I think you can deconstruct, but, you don't recover the materials.

Build next piece of raft near existing one and new one will show a phantom piece where it can be joined to existing one. Video shows it alright. My advice would be - build/upgrade it in water, not shallow. I had problems with raft when I built it closer to shore - I could not drag it into water, because it was too heavy or just stuck to ground or after joining one piece to others it jumped to sky.

i guess when you build floor on base, you can`t destroy it, I mean only base pieces can be destroyed. So plan ahead what materials you have and what pieces you will place and where.

Also align motor/sail properly, othervise you gonna drive sideways, when pressing forward :D

Thanks... Sucks you can deconstruct and try again.

Now I wonder if there's a mod to spawn items in. If so I'd just spawn the floating items again to give myself a chance to do it right.

But looks like all the spawn mods are out of date. >_< oh well.

I always save before I build, just in case I stuff up, then I can reload the save :104:

I think, there is some sort of dev console. From other hand, go to islands with pines, there might be more wrecks, more barrels etc, so you can build pretty fast. I built mine only from barrels, visited two these islands, and there barrels on every wreck :D

You can add what you need to a custom island like I did for the video :steamhappy:
StarlightSovereign Apr 17, 2017 @ 12:52am
But how does that help? If I add it on a custom island, that doesn't let me access it in my game does it? I honestly don't know anything about the cartographer thing.
Eagle Eye Apr 17, 2017 @ 12:56am
Well, yes, of course it does, what do you think you are watching in the video?

Follow this, but add what you need for your boats..

You just drag the items onto the island...

Drag your created island on map and refresh all map. But you have to know where you are, or you gonna go find it :D Anyway, look around, if you see island with pines, say in front of you and when you turn around 180, make note what size of island you see there. You will be in middle. Look for that pattern on cartographer.

Make sure you hit "Apply" after you drag the new island onto your map..
I didn't know it worked that way. Awesome. (And thank you!)

But, how do I tell which of the islands on my map I'm based on?

The cartographer just automate new worlds but if you do that you lose your save game

Like for example you start a new game you find a wreck with crate but loot is like some tarp metal scrap and planks and your starter isleland is to smal you use the cartografhere to new playing field

Sorry for bad grammar xD
