Fix roofing please... (and other construction anoyance)
So i made this...

And in time it came to placing on the roof, which BTW extremely happy we have apex roofing now, so wanted that from the very start...

However its still causing me OCD design issues, because the cap wont apply to the tip of my roof design, it will go 1 level down, but not where i want it too, as you can here see:

I also had same problem with clay roof but this time attaching a middle section up against a second floor wall option, in the end i gave up, it just wasnt happening, and had to transform it into a flat top balcony area instead

I am just now praying i dont have any issues putting the clay roof on top of the second floor part of the house... time will tell

I also dont get how i place three sets of wooden arches, and 3 wooden doors, from the same angle yet two of the doors open inwards, and one opens outwards, because one of the wooden arches some how twists back to front

lol grrrr moments

Had the same problem with my 3 by 3 brick mansion. Ended up with giant skylight. I think roof pieces only attach to walls or windows so the cap won't attach to the roof sections. I also could not get a floor section to fill the gap.

i could probably try a church style cap if its true about the window sections, not sure how well thats going to look but i might try it non the less...

but if you cant get a floor section in, i doubt the window panels are going to snap to roof sections either. There is one possible, maybe stack from centre upwards ??

I found a work around for unable to place items, and even if there is something blocking the location.

When trying to place the item, roof, foundation, celing, wall or anything else, and it shows in red and gives that sound when left click...

Have enough in your inventory to craft two of the same item, because while the item is showing red, press C to craft another and place it while origional is red and poof it magically appears in that space you wanted, and you still have the materials for another crafting.

It doesn't cost double thankfully, but even so you get it where you want it. I think this is a mistake of the games programming, but its been working for me, and I hope they don't change it because it works for placing anything.

Some Visual proof:

<Updated an hour after I wrote that from earlier today>
Shoot, it must have been a glitch in my game since I can't reproduce that ability now... Mannn that sooo stinks because I enjoyed building where I wanted things to be placed regardless of other structural issues. Now I can't even build when I should be able to without issues in the location. I thought that maybe it was a difference of DirectX 9 & 11 because I did change it, but sadly not the case...

Glad I took pictures of proof. lol
