Cities XXL
RHM2 Still Doesnt work with Cities XXL as of 2/18/15
Hey guys, after installing the updated version of RHM2 that allows us to boot into Cities, I still cannot get it to be stable at all.

Symtoms are the game crashes randomly even when I havnt used a single piece from RHM2 in the map. I have successfully made a few interchanges but the game will still randomly crash.

As soon as I removed the file, the game became rock solid and had no more issues. As soon as that mod is placed in the mod folder, the game is garanteed to crash at some point. I can usually get the game to crash within 20min of playing.

Anyone else having this issue?

This is the error you will get after youve used alot of pieces with rhm2 and xxl. It clearly is crashing.

I also noticed it will only crash if your viewing an area where alot of traffic is being shown like at a custom made cloverleaf or where there is simply alot of traffic. I have been able to get the game to crash without even using any RHM2 pieces as long as the RHM was in the mods folder. As soon as I removed the mod, all crashing went away.

I went to try this but it's a .exe file. Is there a zipped version? I like to see where files are being placed so that I can remove them if the game falls over.
You use the RHM from XLNation, not the poor version uploaded on the workshop ? Contact the XLNation team and send them a crash log (otherwise unsuscribe the workshop version and get the XLNation update).

The download at XLNation is an .exe file inside the zip, meaning it's running an installer of some kind. I'd rather not use an installer because I have no way of seeing what it's changing, otherwise I'd give RHM a try.
You're not on the good mod page, the exe is for Cities XL not for Cities XXL.

Doh! Google sent me to the wrong place. I'll give this a try.
I was going to use this in a large city I already have built, but have found it only works with American roads (I build with English roads). I'll start a new city tomorrow and see whether there are problems.

Real stupid question: I noticed at XLNation that the Community Mod was updated for RHM last Friday at XLNation to make RHM work properly. I don't think the Steam Workshop version got updated (at least I didn't notice any download). Just in case you didn't update: http://xlnation.city/resources/cities-xxl-community-mod.1221/updates :))

I am using the latest version that is supposed to work and it does but eventually crashes the game after about 15-20min of play.

The file I install is XXL_RHM2-MrX2-Edit-3.patch which is the latest and it still crashes after awhile. The game does boot without errors and I can place all the new pieces but eventually, it will crash :(

I also have the latest version of community mod and dependencies.
I read somewhere (I forget just where) that Cities ... requires version specific validation on it's coding (especially so for mods). I suspect what is being reported is that these mods contain a previous version validation (at least one, maybe more, times) somewhere within them.
Sorry no problem in my side. It's may be an interaction between two mods, you use another mods who affect roads ? If yes check possible conflict with this tool :

Otherwise try to contact the XLNation team and send them a recent log file for investigation.

Still crashes, I updated my original post so everyone can view the crash. xln mod manager was used and I also did a fresh install with only RHM2 with no success.

I'm still gonna keep trying to narrow this bug down, I've messed with some display properties as well, maybe this will fix things for me. Its almost as if when we reach the capacity on the larger highways and alot of road is displayed on the screen, thats when it crashes.

I got an hour of game play out before it crashed just now. It crashed as soon as I tried deleting some tree decorations that were next to the roads. I still think there is something to do with heavy traffic animations thats killing this mod.
Do you use the RHM mod and the RHM addon or only the base mod ? If you use the addon have you try to play without ?

I tried every possible combination, still get the traffic lane null crash glitch. I just spent 4 hours ripping all the pieces out of the city from RHM and replacing with regular roads and deleted the two rhm files. :( I wish there was a fix.

Back to stock XXL with a few of my favourite mods. The game is now crash free for me.
