Defend - take up defense - the unit will dig trenches
March - movement with maximum speed, trying to avoid the enemy. This does not mean that they will not move near the enemy at all, but only if there is an alternative, they will prefer to move away from him. (only for neutral or allied squares)
Advance - slow movement for 1 square per turn with the attack of the enemy if it got in the way. Moves as straight as possible.
Good, I had gotten very familiar with the old system which allowed me to predict with high precision where the battlefield would be allowing me to gain numerical superiority in almost every battle.
This is in a way the end of moving your BGs around like pawns from a chess game and instead giving orders to them indirectly and hoping your BGs can accomplish those orders on their own.
One more question, when are the orders executed? Is is before the enemies' turn or are both your moves and the enemies' accomplished at the same time?
Orders are issued as in direct mode, before moving AI units, usually (but not always) in the order in which you gave them.
Thank you
If you right click a node twice it changes from march to advance regardless of enemy presence.
1) It's not possible to move units in reserve node to another reserve/offmap node.
2) When there are multiple units on top each other in reserve it's only possible to select and move one unit.
Did I miss something, or is it intented to be that way? Would it be possible to add such options?
Yes, otherwise it will not work.
The first - because the boundary zone has special properties and orders there will be a bit strange, especially when they are given to a 100% impassable zone.
The second is not very clear how to do properly, without complicating the interface. Now the stack of units is relatively rare, so it is not yet clear that this will be a big problem.
If there are constructive suggestions what to do - please write.
Understood, thanks.
