Unkillable Enemies?
Three times now i have encountered enemies that i just can't beat for unknown reasons.
I whack away at them until they got no vitality and whack away endless, happend three times so far..

Is that a bug?Cause it seems to me that it is or am i supposed to take it up the ass and retry until it some how lets me hurt them?Hospital fight was the first one it happend on, suddenly i did damage with the grab attack and kicked his ass. Then it happend at the harbor, i got my ass handed to me three times in a row until i some how managed to make them kill eachother instead and finished off the last guy with the special move. Now it happend again on my new game in the casino where i picked a fight with the guards beating up a guy.

There are several enemies that arbitrarily cannot be defeated by reducing their vitality to 0 with a reversed weapon. When you mentioned the hospital, I assume you were doing the mission where Laura asks you to disperse the protesters? The "without hurting them" bit apparently does not apply to the dude that confronts you outside as the only option is to kill his shirtless butt.

EDIT: Also make sure to strengthen your weapons at the smithy. Your starter sword is incredibly wimpy even on easy, so you should really go talk to the smithy and make it stronger. Don't worry about degredation, that just means how many times you can use the "refine" option to build it up. After that, you'll need to use reforge along with scrap metal obtained from breaking down weapons.

Stances have strengths and weaknesses too. If your opponent's stance is stong against yours and he has toughen expert you'll do peanut damage even with a 500 dmg sword. Change your style and it will work.

Wait, seriously? I didn't know about this.

I found out about it while working on kinugawa's style. As you know, the style has 3 stances.

I think i happened to come across a style with damage reduction against the chu-dan stance i was working on. Damage dealt returned to normal when i switched to waki

I figured something like that when I was looking at the moves list of a few styles.

For instance Tokyu style from the dojo has a defense skill against Chu-dan stances. And Kogure's Iai style has a defense skill against guns.
It's good to know for certain enemies...
