Bad Player or Bad Shotgun?

I saved up to get the advanced shotgun. Unless I'm using it wrong, it does almost no damage unless you are nose to nose with enemies, which is when I get slaughtered.

Neah its not you, the shotguns sucks in this game, everything sucks except the S1 rifle from DLC

Only 2 slots. Guess I'll try to fill them. I rarely get those gems though. Only got 3 so far in all my time playing.

Agreed that the shotguns suck. The Gehrig-Delgane from the Secret Service Pack is amazing. If you don't have that DLC then try the Lee Ensham. Everything else is trash tier. I use armorbane/healing/recoil/reload on the Gehrig-Delgane. Pick 3/4 for the Lee Ensham.

The slamfire is a great weapon.. not sure why people are saying the shotguns suck. The other 2 shotguns do suck, but the slamfire with the brutal and quickfire gems is one of the best weapons in the game. The only thing it sucks at is sniping, but it's a shotgun so what do you expect lol.

It's my favorite gun, with the burst rifle and Gehrig-Delgane being my other two picks.

I guess I can try starting on round 5 next time to see what you mean, I've only finished up to 3 rounds I think, since it gets really boring after that with no rewards for finishing rounds.

Game is super easy otherwise though, the only situations where I don't prefer the Slamfire are the boss battles or where you need to snipe enemies. It's not the best weapon for every situation, but it's a good weapon in general.

Sigh. I've been in a lot of betas over the years, and so many discussions on this game, like this one, are just like discussions in the other beta forums.

Sorry Crypt, but I'm not giving this game one more penny just so it's "barely ok".

The game is easy enough as it is, you don't "need" the pre-order pack to do well. If you don't like the shotguns you can try the Lee Ensham or Burst rifle. They made the pre-order dlc the most overpowered guns but you can still do fine with other weapons.

you must all suck at this game. i have run with each weapon and the only ones that i dont like are thetwo starting pistols becauee they dont pack much punch. other than that i have killed everything with every weapon

Lol ofc you can kill everything with any weapon campaign and first rounds of horde mode is easy, hell in this game you dont actually need to use any weapons if you want to, with frank serteki minions taking all aggro you can just punch everything and than finish it off, that easy it is, I actually finished some waves on round 5 horde mode by just punching the enemies and spawning serteki with frank.
