Hey all,

If you're having issues with the game, such as crashes or strange specific bugs, please try the following first:

Verify Integrity of Game Files

1. From your Steam games library, right-click Strange Brigade
2. Select 'Properties'
3. On the window that appears, go to the 'Local Files' tab
4. Click 'Verify Integrity of Game File' This may take several minutes, and may also re-download any missing/damaged files
5. Run the game to check if issues persist

Check for Updates

- Check if your graphics and audio drivers are up to date
NVIDIA[www.nvidia.co.uk] | AMD [www.amd.com]
- Check if your version of Windows is the latest

Allowing the Game in Antivirus

There may be cases of antivirus software falsely flagging the game and preventing either launching or blocking some files. Updating your antivirus and its definitions will usually help.

If the issue persists, to prevent this you should allow the game in your antivirus software. This is different for each antivirus software, so is better to search for depending on what you use. Although Steam has a guide for some here

Check for Interfering Background Programs

Some programs in the background may be causing issues with the game. If any issues are occuring it may be best to temporarily disable some programs to see if they are conflicting.

When these issues occur it tends to be coming from programs with overlays, or programs that modify/tweak the input of controls etc, so it may be best to start with those first.

Send a Ticket to Support

If none of these solutions work, please send a ticket to https://rebellion.com/support with as much information as possible.

Information like the below is helpful:

- What were you doing leading up to the incident
- Your computer specs
- What happens when the error occurs
- What levels/characters/weapons were you using
- What are your game settings
- Any other information you feel may help

Hi everyone, yesterday I bought Strange Brigades but when I try to start it it gives me a strange error! In practice it tells me to check the windows version (I have seven ultimate 64 bit) and download the version of the game! I'm sure I already have the 64bit one, can anyone help me? So for me the game runs fine until you battle the Khopesh Champion of Seteki then I get 1fps and cant do anything. I have a GTX 970m with 3GB of VRAM, and an intel i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60 GHZ with 24Gb of RAM. Ran fine until this boss battle and then I have to reboot the computer to run any game again, its like the game is turning off my graphics card or something. I have verified the integrity of the files and that did not help.

@Rebel iscottnoidea. Do you know how to complete this achievement “ There's no 'I' in Team…but there is a 'me' "? My friends and I used the top four Brigade members to complete a level, but we couldn't accomplish this achievement. Do you know the reason? Or my method is wrong?

I have a high resolution screen and the start-up screen (where you choose Vulkan or DX12) is too small to read or use.

Since I bought ist , I can not start this! I tried everything I read here, Everything!
So my clonclusion is: It don't work with an intel graphic 5500, i5, (latest driver)
Since i bought this laptop 5 years ago, it ist the first game at all which won't start! Assassins Creed and such games do work well! So what is the problem with thi sh game?

OK, my RX 5600 turns into a jumbojet and goes to 80 degrees celsius while chilling in the menu.

I launched the vulkan version and everything is set on medium.

Luckily enough there was an update ready, see if it works

I am playing ti with the Vulkan, and no audio at all is coming from the game.

Having problems with game crashing? or not launching? Try this!

I got in this game many crash errors including "application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware" and couldnt find any good solution!

So i started digging Win 10 event viewers and problem logs and i found out that STEAM OVERLAY (overlay dll file in Steam directory) was conflicting with this game and was causing crashes and system hangs!
Also i found out that this game runs best in Win 8 compatibility mode!

So if you have any game crash, game not launching or game performing extremely slow - disable STEAM OVERLAY and try again!

Go upper bar Steam > Settings > In-Game > unflag "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game" (or Steam allows now to disable steam overlay also separately for every game under game options)

For me Strange Brigade (and also Zombie Army Trilogy) now runs a lot smoother and without any crashes when Steam Overlay got disabled!

Check if your CPU or GPU, video card power supply is overheating,
