No Splitscreen coop or even LAN?
I don't know why you wouldn't add split screen for this game.

No couch co-op unfortunately. The online co-op element is so much fun. You won't be disappointed!

I live in Saudi Arabia. Guess how well that online coop is going to work for those of us with a 500ms ping and 300/kbps internet connection. Can't wait...
Ok, So I am ready to buy two copies of this. One for Xbox One, just to collect, will never open and a copy on Steam. However, no LAN play is a bummer, but can I play this game alone offline? I do steam family sharing with my daughter and my wife. When one of them wants to play in my library, I make sure I go offline to play. However this game is supposed to have denuvo right, making this impossible?

DLC the split screen if you must. Fact is, I’d depart with an extra 50 pounds if I could 4 player this locally. Simply put, online games have no magic for me, so haven't purchased this, just painstakingly following it in hopes it becomes couch friendly for us hipsters in the future. To smoke a joint and play this without the need for 4 separate rigs would be grand.

Found about the game today, looked like a great coop game, 1-4 players. looked for split-screen feature. disappointed. hold off buying until hopefully they add it.

The audience looking for split screen coop games is big. and doesn't interfere with the online players market. group of friends will buy their owncopies regardless if there's split screen or not. and players looking for the couch splitscreen will never ever buy multiple copies anyway.

Just look at games like Overcooked, Rocket League, LEGO games, Gangbeasts. They are successful because primarily theres an splitscreen along with online play

I doubt it. While it would be a nice feature, it's pretty niche on PC for it
Split screen is kinda crappy anyway. Rocket League is popular because its an amazing game. Lego has a whole brand behind it.

Where can I find these stats? Is there a section of steam I don't know about? I saw a recent article that said there are something like 30 million active controller users on Steam, and of those some ~15 million users had multiple controllers registered. Sounds like an awfully huge audience to call "niche". I wonder if you were just positing your own personal preferences and not actually speaking from an informed position...
