Alt + Tab breaks the game.
I noticed when I go back to the desktop I can't go back to the game again. I see the game but clicking on anything kicks me back to the desktop. It's a small bug but it can be annoying when suddenly your antivirus wants to say that it just updated the database. Anybody else experienced similar issue? Is there a remedy for that problem?

Had to alt-tab out of the game and yeah - there's no way back into the game afterwards... alt-tabbing back to it, or clicking the taskbar button, just produces a black screen for a few seconds, then dumps me back on the desktop.

The only way to get back in the game is to right-click the taskbar button and kill the game, then restart it. And that's not really a work-around :-(
Three most crucial things:
In the settings found on the initial splash screen window, turn off DX12 (cryptically called 'D3D12').
Run in "Borderless" windowed mode (selectable in-game, video settings).
In the in-game options, under "privacy settings" at the bottom, turn off the sending of information to Rebellion (causes occasional infrequent crashes).
this worked for me ^^^

Well i just noticed (had my Task Manager on second Screen) that windows automaticly sets the game.exe on low priority in the details tab, just turned it back to "nomal" or "realtime" and can go back to game but it has to be every time you tab out. :(

Just happened to me. I held Alt + Enter a bit then clicked on the game icon and it brought me back into the game. Can't say if it will work for everyone but worth a try.

Yes, this is the solution. Borderless window also works, but it is a workaround, and you may prefer to continue running the game fullscreeen and not use a workaround.

The problem is because of fullscreen mode. The Alt-ENTER works because it brings the game out of fullscreen mode and into a windowed mode. Then you can gain control of the window. Then you need to switch it back to fullscreen afterwards. It's a pain but that's the reason, and it's beyond me why Rebellion cannot figure that out and advise the players. Borderless window mode works because it's still a window.

Do this:
When you open the game it opens a little window that says play, options, etc, so you are going to go to options and select the Windowed mode, now just close and start the game, now you can do Alt + Tab and chat windows and it will let you play.
:D

Hit Esc which will pause the game then alt-tab. I can go back and forth with no problems.

At the splash screen (before the game loads) go to options and set Screen Mode to "Full-screen borderless window". This solves the problem for me

try to Alt+Tab into the game, press alt+enter, press alt+tab again, you should be in the game right now but it is not in fullscreen, press alt+enter to put it back into fullscreen
