First mission: How to clear the checkpoint?
I already killed all the soldiers in the vicinity of it, but the game is still saying that there's a "clear checkpoint" objective to complete, right about where I'm standing at the entrance to the tunnel. ...There's nobody else around though. What are we supposed to do?
Do we have to blow up the little guardhouse in order for the checkpoint to be counted as "cleared"?

They can move away quite a bit, kill every single one on the Island until the notification telling you the achievement is reached pops up.

no, you don't have to blow up the sentry box. if you are on the bridge side of the tunnel, there is another guy on the beach between the tunnel and bridge. i dont know if he has to be killed, but I always do, and the objective works. There is also a guy at the other end from the box who hangs out in a room but comes out sometimes. otherwise I have never had a problem. Good luck
