Not really, it won't work against AI

Against players, that would also likely be a no. It might work for a bit, but most servers have tagging enabled, so good luck hiding in the bushes.

Mostly correct, but there is one slight difference:
When playing against AI you can get SLIGHTLY closer to an armed vehicle before they open fire on you, when you are using the recommended camo for that map. For instance, a white winter camo for "Winter Market" map. AFAICT it doesn't make any difference to the footsoldiers. So it is mostly just cosmetic.

But if you are playing multiplayer competitive, then it does matter as different camo may result in slower ID time by your enemies.

The only time it has worked for me is single player campaign and only for conducive environments. ( Like HalloweenWeed said-Don't wear it in snow areas, lol) When playing single player, it takes the German soldiers some time to recognize you. I can sometimes get within 5 feet of them before it dawns on them. By that time it's too late. It's great for melee kills!

Ghillie SHOULD work and you should only be discovered if you move or when you fire (if they actually spot dust/smoke from the gun or the flash from the glass on the scope. Its sad when games include ghillie suits but AI can see you. Even if they couldnt see you and they programmed them well you would still have to be careful, lie still and time your shots so no one notice where it comes from.

I'll vouch for that because I wouldn't use it for campaign mode unless there was some benefit. There are perks for using it but like Alex72 said, you have to be extra careful.

Rebellion is not alone on this, in Ghost Recon: Wildlands you can get "optical camo" (like the "Predator" in the movie of the same title), but it's purely cosmetic, the enemies still see you from as far, doesn't make any difference in detection. Yes, sad.

Snipers Homeopathy ;)
It's cosmetic, it doesn't reduce the chance of you getting spotted by slightest.

However I have to give it to winter camo I can stand in bright day light in an italian town and nobody sees me.
