The most common approach is to snipe it from a distance.

You need to Tag the charge with the binoculars and other methods are to leave TNT near it , if you have enough TNT you can leave a few of them makes it easier to shoot ,

Many methods work.
I set the satchel, NOT THE FUSE.
I took enemy bodies, 2 or 3 will do, piled them near the charge, and then booby trapped the bodies.
Makes for a bigger target. Then if you shot the bodies, sets off the booby traps, and they set off the satchel. Also counts towards the Chain Reaction Achievement.
This allows you to shoot from just about any where distant from the bridge.
Just my way of complicating things, but it was fun working it out.

Two good spots to shoot from:

1) To the right of bridge (where the scaffoldings are) there is a trail that goes along the wall. There are even some convenient bushes there. That spot allows for a clean shot at relatively short range.

2) My favorite... directly across from the bridge there is a cave that looks at the center dead on. You are in shadow so nobody sees you. You are far from any encampents so nobody hears you. And the view from that spot is just glorious. Worth going there just to admire the scenery.
