I would also recommend two of the weapons packs (especially being that it's the holidays and they're on sale for $5 for both of them. The Silent Warfare pack, and the Cold Warfare expansion pack. The weapons packs play in single player, multi-player, and co-op.
For the Silent warfare pack, the silent rifle and pistol that use regular ammo means never running out of ammo, and trying to run around finding suppressor ammo, or sound-masking, is eliminated for those weapons, making them my number one favorites, even though the rifle's zoom sucks.
For the Cold Warfare expansion pack I find the SMG to be the top choice with it's high rate of fire combined with a 71 round drum puts it over the top of being the best SMG weapon for me. This pack also has the second best rifle that's semi-auto (nearly instant reload) and boasts a 20 round clip as well as the top zoom I've seen in the game.
The only advantage the rest of the weapons packs that I can see would be the character skins, and maybe you have different tastes in weaponry.
- If you have not yet bought SE4, buy the Deluxe Edition, double check but I believe it includes all of the DLCs, at the best price.
- If you already bought SE4, buy the Season Pass. It is a misnomer for "all of the DLCs" and it is cheaper than buying just all the "mission" DLCs. I just bought it for that very reason and because it is 50% off for the Christmas season.
- Regardless of whether you buy it or not... don't miss the various replayability options of the game. After you complete the campaign, when you go into the missions you'll see various challenges (as you enter or in game when you hit the Esc key), at first glance they might look silly, but as they force you to try various other playstyles you will not only learn a lot but you will probably enjoy quite a few of the new skills you learn. I started on this while I was downloading the Season Pass and enjoyed it enough that I have not even touched the DLCs missions yet.
- If you plan on playing coop or multiplayer... you might want to buy and level up guns. It seems that Survival mode is one of the best tools to level up guns.
I hope this helps.
So the season pass includes previous DLC too? Nuts, I let my stepson talk me out of it because he said it only applies to future DLC releases (not trying to blame him, I'm the one that didn't investigate it further), in which case I think Rebellion's just going to move onto probably SE5.
The season pass for SE4 is it ! all DLC included the game is 2 years old come spring of 2019
Got the base game and season pass, and I've just completed single-player. Are there any SP elements to the DLC or should I uninstall now - I don't do MP...
Thanks!
As to the question, yes the DLCs have single player. You can play them solo or with a friend.
Yes! Just go to the DLC tab and start a game on the Fuhrer map and it will run through all four DLC maps as a separate campaign, or pick a mission. Just like the vanilla maps.
You must play those maps; they are great.
