Right control key (in sniper Elite 4)

Howdy,
I play sniper elite 4 PC and i'm trying to reconfigure the right control key(on the keyboard) . It makes me lose my game while in solo mode. Because when i press the right control key accidentally while playing
a drop down dialogue thing shows up and i'm frozen in time and the enemy has the time to kill me while i try to press the key again to get out of that frozen mode.
So how can i reconfigure that key ... i"ve tried but it seems you can't do it.

Try reseting all controls to default and start re mapping keys again ? looks like you use the Arrow keys for Movement and not the default W-A-S-D ,
Your description tells me whats happening is your opening the game console which is default ` key just above the Tab key. It may be easier to just re-map the ` key as i think that is a one-off , some keys are multifuctional

I catch the wrong keys some times as i use the default W-A-S-D config , to the left of the A or Q key { which we use a lot } are the ` key = console , the Tab key shows score in multiplayer and the CapLocks key , this Cap locks key can send you into the Shoulder Aim Togle mode and the key Left Control Key = Shouilder Aim , this shoulder aim is or can be use full in defending your self in SP by crouching at the corner of a wall or door, you can use right handed or left haned by pressing down on the middle mouse here is a demo i did, but be warned some or most Dedicated Server Admins will kick or kick ban you if you use it in MP.

Problem I have with key mapping is that every damned—well, almost every damned time—I attempt to sprint with the default SHIFT+W, the damned Steam overlay pops up. And no, I'm not accidentally pressing the keys that are supposed to bring it up, which is SHIFT+TAB.
