Info about custom difficulty settings

I had a look into the manual and on internet but I can't find my answer.
In the custom difficulty settings what are "weapon spread" and "scope drift"? I can't understand what they are supposed to do with their description

When you shoot a real gun, even if you have the gun rigidly secured to a rigid frame, the bullets will not always travel exactly to the exact same spot, even without wind. This is called the "spread." In Cadet difficulty, there is no spread.
Scope drift has to do with how well you can hold your gun still. More drift simulates this, you must compensate for tiny body movements (drift).
