Teller mines vs S-mines
Ok, I could not find this on the search, so, could anybody please explain, what is the difference between teller mines and S-mines (of course I know about the second mode, but is there anything besides that?)?

When should I use one, when the other?

Thanks!

S-Mines and Trip Mines are primarily anti-personnel mines. Tellers can be used as anti-personnel mines but unlike S-Mines and Trips they can destroy or immobilize vehicles. Generally, it takes 2 Tellers, or 1 Teller and a TNT placed within its blast radius, to destroy a tank or other armored vehicle outright. A single Teller will only immobilize it, and sometimes that's all you want.

S-Mines and Trips can in some cases be used to set off a larger explosion that can destroy tanks or other armored vehicles. For example, on the Dockyard map, there is a large oil tank and a trip placed near there can create a secondary explosion big enough to take out a tank.

S-mines have a bigger explosion radius. I don't know if a single teller mine is enough to immobilize cars though. I personally use delayed s-mines in survival mode in areas where I know the AI will move slowly or take cover to get more casualties.

S-Mines, are proximity mines. Teller Mines must be placed with precision.

Actually it depends on the difficulty level. On Cadet a teller will ALWAYS completely destroy any armor within it's blast radius. He was citing the "Sniper Elite (Hard)" difficulty level and higher.

Good point and thank you for the correction.
