could not locate "sniperelite4_dx12.exe" file

been trying to get sniper 4 to load but with no succsess. kept saying "windows cant find (C:\ steam\steamapp\common\sniperelite4\bin\sniperelite4.dx12.exe. after watching some utube videos to try and sort it and found them to be unhelpful.
the way i fixed it was to open the games local file, looked for that file but only found "sniperelite4_dx11.exe" file so i changed the 11 to a 12 on the file name. now it works.

I hope this helps anybody else who is stuggling to start the game.

There is no point in renaming the file to dx12
its still the dx11 file
so you are still runnning dx11 and not dx12

Your dx12 has most likely been removed or quarantined an retarted anti virus program or something.

if not, simply go to options on the launcher and disable to use of 12, it will then load 11 normally.

You hust have to exclude it from real time scanning. What anti virus do you have?
