[Solved] Can't get objective looted art truck
I'm trying to get the optional achievement "target-focus the looted art truck" (Mission 5) on PC but it always fails. I have read the forum posts and followed the recommendations. I waited until I cleaned out everything except the baddies near the investigate the Abbey that are in front of the Monastery. I have watched the YouTube vid and when I tag the truck with the binoculars I don't get the message to go ring the bell so the mafioso is alerted - I have seen this message in the YouTube vid and it isn't happening for me. I have marked the trucks and waited until they exit the map (fail). I have marked the bell as well. I didn't even get it earlier (before I entered the Monastery) when I tried to do it right after taking our the radio man. It's odd, because when I tag any truck all three are tagged, if I try to tag another it untags them. Doesn't seem to matter whether or not I am spotted by them, even when not spotted (in bushes far from road) still get the same results. I'm totally clueless as to what to try next, I'm wondering if a recent patch has broken this objective. Playing on custom diff, most things set on "sniper elite" setting or the next higher one, still have ("sniper elite" mode) mini-map enabled, not playing anything on "authentic."

Having tons of fun else wise though.

Unrelated: I often have to reboot my computer a couple of times before the game will start, I get 'DirectX 11 failed to initilaize" (PITA). My vid card is HD 7870 (minimum requirement) and Win10-64bit.

EDIT: Well I just tried it one last time, and it worked for me after all. The only thing I can figure that I did different was maybe keep a truck in sight of the binoculars for a longer period (of seconds). Go figure.

Also, you can cause a bell to ring by shooting them, but it won't count. It only counts if you go to where the ropes tie to the wall and press the interact button FYI.

That's why the challenge says to "Target-Focus" the looted art truck & not "tag" it,......there's a difference. Reading the challenges/achievements correctly & understanding what they want you to do is very important & can save you a lot of time!
