That doesn't even make sense.
That's fine but surely, not tying them to achievements is a win-win. They still get to collect crap and achievement hunters get to play the game properly.
I have a game which I have played 1100 hours in, and have completed the campaign.
Still.. only about 75% completed..
If I was a "achievment/pixel-medal"-hunter I would care about that, but I don't.

It's even dumber that they force it on COOP missions as well, now they inconvenience two people instead of just one.
If finding a document pertinent to the campaign and mission needs to be found, then fair enough...
Like someone has already posted, I search bodies for kit and spare ammo etc, but I'm not into hunting around the whole bleedin map just to find a letter that has been recieved from someones wife at home.
