There is no shoulder swap key though which is really weird. You have to toggle which shoulder you want to use in the options menu
It's automatic now. Just walk up to walls and adjust your stance as needed. Although that being said, you're better off on a rooftop or a window instead of hiding behind cover. The best defences for a sniper are good offense and an elevated position, especially in Survival Mode.
- char. emerges too far
- no way to shot from cover (cover fire)
- no way to swap from cover to cover safely
- no standing cover (...IIRC)
- peeking / aiming over cover is inconsistent, thus unreliable (e.g., many window sills are not tagged to activate the automatic "emerge" function)
SE5 should definitely employ a GoW-type cover system as a toggle-able option for those who want to use it... and Strange Brigade should experiment with it, to see how it would best work.
totaly agreed, I see now I'm keep playing recently its really good I mean game
is fun, there's more options in both character selection, weapons and even attachments
maps are great (as far as I played)
but this "automated" cover thing is annoying, because its not cover at all,
my character does not taking a real cover (he/she just standing behind a wall
like a target dummy and then instantly got murdered by enemy players in MP)
Game is great overall in my opinion, but cover is not cover at all
in solo survival, cover is a must imo
There is a shoulder swap key. You need to press the scroll button on your mouse. That is, actually press it in (not scroll up/down).
SE2 came out during a dark time when console-style preset cover systems with cover buttons were popular.
Thank gaben that crap era is over.
