What do weapon stats mean/do? Any authoritative source on this?
I don't understand what some of the stats mean for weapons. Things like damage on the sniper rifle makes no sense as it's a one-hit kill. I assume muzzle velocity reduces the amount of compensation I need to do for bullet drop and wind speed, but I'd like confirmation. Stability I assume reduces scope drift, but again, confirmation. Is there anything authoritative, in game that describes weapon stats? Thanks.

In case anyone has the same question that I did, I found the link to the manual from the launcher and from the manual I found this:

Damage - Damage done by each non-critical shot.
Muzzle Velocity - The velocity of bullets fired. Higher velocities
will be less affected by gravity and wind.
Recoil Dampening - The recoil following each shot.
Stability - The amount of sway while looking through the scope.
Max Zoom - The maximum zoom level of the attached scope.
Rate of Fire - Higher rate of fire means more rounds fired over the
same time period.

It really should mention (if it doesn't) that Muzzle Velocity also dictates how well the bullets can penetrate. eg, if you want to shoot people through obstacles you want higher velocity rifles.
