Multiplayer rules are killing me! Getting banned for just running to my spot. :-(

This game is fun, but it's turning out to be just a single player game for me. People are making dumb rules for their multiplayer matches.

NO running? What a dumb rule, in essence the person is telling me to spawn and not get away from the spawn site as fast as I can. That way the person who spends countless hours on the map can just pick me off at the spawn points without me having a chance.

This is not COD is the lame excuse I get. I am sorry, but if you cannot battle a person or players within the rules of the game already established than you’re a crap player. It just means you cannot handle being in a game that puts you against players with many different fighting styles. To me its cheating to bind people to rules you established and if you are getting killed to much you simply ban the player from ever stepping foot into your server again.

This has happened to be many times. I follow the dumb rules, but I am kicked because I am winning. It gives players too much power and I wished Rebellion would do something about this. It really sucks when you are doing well in a match and you are kicked for no reason and you get no experience for it. I got kicked from my last match even though I followed the rule of no running just because I complaiend about it.

I am by no means a great player, but I do manage to get a few kills and have fun. It just really annoys me that before I start a game I need to read an essay of rules for that server. Make a server and play the game within the games already established rules. Learn to actually fight and not strap players with dumb rules that do nothing but make it easier for the person camping. It’s a game about snipers you are supposed to camp you say, fine tell that to someone in real life. See how far that gets you in war! Last time I checked I didn’t check with the Taliban sniper if I could ran after his position to shoot him before he got another shot off. I guess before the next war we should have rules of no running or no stealth knife kills.

Sorry, but being kicked for nothing is really getting old and is killing the multiplayer before it even starts.

No to mention the fact that there is hardly any multiplayer games and with dumb rules made by people it just gets worse. How can a brand new game already have a DOA multiplayer? Sad!

hi, just wanting to reply to you post, first all the servers are run by people whom pay for the hosting and run them by there rules, they own them,
i understand you are annoyed but not all server owners are militant, but since they own it they run it how they want to.
all servers have rules, most keep it simple, open profiles, keep the verble and written abuse out of the game, no players with vac or game or trade bans, and just have fun?
you may need to try some other servers to see how it go's for you.

you said MP is dead, i disagree with you, depending on your time zone there are many servers full all the time, or if you jump on one and wait you can normally get a game going fairly fast as players see you in a room and will join.

lol sound like they want easy kills and not devlop their own skills of leading the target since walking/jogging requires less leading the targets where as the sprint has the downside of heartrate

these people probally cant hit the driver of the boat on the second mission with out an aiming solution (where the xtra crosshair turns red to say you have done garvity and wind and target speed/direction right)

Well, the server name tells you that it is a "no run" server and you should not play there if you don't like the rule.
I was no fan of this game mode because i usually prefer to play run and gun, but then i tried playing it and what should i say, it was making fun and the players were friendly.
Many players like this server, so let them play. We all play Sniper Elite for fun and if you don't have fun on a server or don't like the rules, switch to an other server that has settings and rules you like more. There are enough servers.
You can find games with and without wind /drop, with one-shot kills, normal damage and headshot only, and with different game modes so there will be for sure games that are challenging enough for you, where you can have fun, too.

That is fine, I get that. What got me upset is even if I thought it was a dumb rule and I made myself vocal about it within the games chat, I still followed the rule.

No need to get kicked out for voicing an opinion. Plus I keep getting kicked out of games for no other reason than being number one. I am getting sick of it! I am hardly if ever the best player in a match and when I am it is a great feeling only to have that taking away because the person that owns the server can't handle losing. So it gets old fast!

I would have no issue looking for another game if there was any. Mostly the servers that are up have passwords or no one playing. At first I didn't look at the rules for servers, I just looked for a full match and clicked on it. Only to find all the dumb rules and regulations people put on their matches.

To Shadow - I guess you never have been in combat, but Snipers (Real Snipers) run all the time. They don't always go stealth.

If you have been in combat then remember that sometimes you don't get your way (nor are you able to protest).

It is their server. Move on to another. In combat you frequently don't get that option.

Yea well, it's their servers, their rules. You don't like them? Just leave. Sniper Elite should never have PvP tbh. I don't understand why Rebellion doesn't want to get rid of this pointless mode.

Really they should state No Sprinting as you can do a crouch run. Also spawns are generally protected for 5 secs aren't they Rabbit ?
