Hi i just bought this game today and i noticed that i'm unable to select the headphone in the audio menu. The only choice i have are full range speakers and tv speakers. Any solutions?

can you hear anything with your headphones on? i,ve just tried my headphones and everything seems to work fine even though like you say the headphone option seems to be closed, just use full range speakers,if your running sound blaster card turn off advanced features in windows panel especially in windows 10,also make sure you,ve selected the correct speakers in windows control panel, Hope this helps

Are your headphones 3.5mm or usb?

There's your answer. The Headphone option becomes available with the 3.5mm jack being used.

USB is crap and please get a proper Headphone.

The full range speakers and the tv speakers are also not working and the headphone stays black in the menu.. I'm ussing a 3.5 mm with the headset. It's also not working with HDMI. I checked my configuration in windows but everything seems to be fine.

Had the same question, but I found a solution. From the initial setup screen on the launcher, there is a setting checkbox for "binaural" simulation. This enables headphones. It warns you though that it is intended for higher end machines.

Same happened to me, the Headphones option in the game itself was greyed out, even though I had checkmarked the Binaural option in the game-launcher. But I solved the problem:

Solution: set you speaker settings in Windows control panel to Stereo! (and start the game)

I am now using the Binaural audio option with Reverb on High with Headphones and it sounds wonderful. Have fun!

You're welcome, I'm glad you have it working now as well.

Yeah it should work because it seems that SE4 looks at your Windows Audio settings to determine which audio options to show in-game.

Binaural audio in SE4 is also useful when playing on Auth/Auth Plus mode: https://gamedevlibrary.com/binaural-simulation-how-it-benefits-your-game-f0d21ca627e9

You resurrected a one year old thread just to send a snarky comment??

Wow... you need to study forum etiquette, my friend.
