Grenade-in-belt shots

i am trying to master the carcano rifle but cant figure out what the game considers a grenade in belt shot, i have killed guys by shooting their grenades multiple times and it doesnt seem to register.

I had to solve that in a different topic in german.

basically you need to shoot the grenade on the belt of one of the soldiers and then kill someone else with that explosion.

Basically: Mook #1 and Mook #2 stand close together. You shoot the grenade on mook #1. Both die. You get a +1 for the unlock for killing Mook#2 with the grenade.

He's entirely wrong
I'v been smashing my head against the wall trying to get the 5 grenade in belt kills for the trench gun when I found a godly spot to farm it (took me about 10 min's later... mostly because the trench gun is terrible inaccurate even at close range) you just have to hit the explosive part of the grenade on their belt it's always on their right side of their body just behind their arm. You can easily spot it from behind them.
Just shoot it and boom you got a kill point you don't have to have multiple infantry next to one another to get it to register.

.....just a word of warning: Not every grenade you hit on the enemy's upper body will count as an "in-belt" shot. Read the title carefully........"in-belt" .........shoot the grenades that hang around the enemy's waist or his belt. This way every one will count. The grenades that hang from the enemy's chest don't always count for some reason, hence why people have difficulty with this unlock.

You have to shoot the ones on their belts (near the waist), not on their chest. Easiest way to do this: Start Bitanti Village (Mission 2) on Cadet difficulty. The first guy staying near a ledge has a grenade in his belt. Make a save behind him, then shoot the grenade on his belt, reload save and keep doing it, till you get the mastery.

From hiding, throw a rock, wait until 4 or more soldiers gather to see what the noise was, quickly focus on a grenade on a belt, boom - 4 for 1 or more.

Probably a bit late, but I found out an easy way to do this: Kill somebody who wears a grenade, throw him somewhere and lure another soldier to him. When he comes near to look who is the man, just shoot the grenade on the chest off the dead one and repeat

I can confirm this worked for me - no need to worry about killing multiple people in one grenade shot. Just shoot the guy's grenade at the start of the second level, reload, and do it again, until you get the perk. Took me less than 5 minutes. Thanks!

It has to be bugged. Ive shot the grenades on the chest, on the waist, multi kills. doesnt matter. not getting any counting towards mastery.
