Shoulder-Aimed Kills?

Half way into the 2nd mission and I have yet to get a single "Shoulder-Aimed Kill" .. still sitting at 0/50, whereas I've got a decent number of Sound Masked kills and Kills over 100m.

I've tried not zooming the scope and just putting the crosshairs over the target and not using right-click at all (ie no scope) but still no "Shoulder-Aimed kills' despite a number of sucessful no-scopes etc.

Am I missing something here?

By this do you mean just point and clicking? If you hold down CTRL there's a method of aiming like you would other types of weapons that doesn't go to the scope.

a little help pls? I use a controller and aiming pressing LT doesn't go to scope. It goes to over the shoulder. Even when using scoped rifles. What do I do? I'm stuck at the tutorial since holding LT doesn't use scope aim.

Ctrl allows you to use the sniper rifle as a normal rifle.

@dobermaxx69 - what kind of controller are you using? Make sure you are pulling the trigger right down, as it's actually meant to be the button for both iron-sights and scope, depending on how far you push it.

i found out the problem. my controller is busted. lol.
