It's how this worked since more than few years now. Screw demos and public previews. Just have marketing teams find few "influencers" and let them do job for you.
Probably cleanest hands are when you just give them the game, but some publishers have promo programs that are focused on grouping youtubers and paying them to shill for a company, like EA used to do with Ronku. At least now it's all public.
I.e. Like seeing that hot halfnude girl that you want to bang with a bottle of coke on your TV; just imagine your favorite youtube naked and clutching sniper elite 4; doesn't that just make you hot?
Its always wise to see actual gameplay and graphics on utube as apposed to offical trailors before you purchase any game unless you are clairvoyant or a fool.
