Reporting Cheaters in Sniper Elite 4

Something many players have asked for is a more effective way to report cheaters in Sniper Elite 4 multiplayer matches. While no anti cheat is perfect we have greatly improved on cheat detection through testing in Sniper Elite3 with some great results.
We’d like to thank you for your ongoing feedback on this. We are happy to confirm that we now have a new reporting system and have already acted on info submitted by players.

HOW TO REPORT A SUSPECTED CHEATER

Cheat report form: [EXAMPLE]

• Name of player caught cheating: EXAMPLEPLAYER1
  
• Steam profile believed to be cheating:http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198140005748/
  
• Steam ID of profile - Paste the Steam profile into the following website and extract the ID http://steamidfinder.com/ : STEAM_0:0:89870010
  
• Date the act of cheating was spotted: 23/11/2016
  
• Time the act of cheating was spotted: 10:24am GMT
  
• Explanation of the cheat that was witnessed: Aimbot, flying, masskill, shooting through cover etc.
  
• Screenshot evidence: Hit your default (F12) Steam screenshot button with evidence of the player cheating as well as a screenshot of their Steam profile.
  
• (Optional)Video evidence: (an unlisted youtube video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TP-b65Ptd7c Video MUST include both the steam profile of the player in question and evidence of the player hacking.

• Press Tab
  
• Use Cursor Keys to select the player you suspect
  
• F2 to View Profile
  
• Copy Steam profile name (Ctrl-C)

How to create an unlisted youtube video - When you upload a video, by default it’s set as a "Public" video, which means that anybody can view it. You can manage the privacy settings and control who has access to view this content.

• Go to your Video Manager.
  
• Find the video you want to change, then click Edit.
  
• In the "Privacy Settings" drop-down menu, choose your setting:
  Public
  Unlisted
  Private
  
• Click Save changes.

How to see your screenshots

• Visit your Steam Library
  
• Click on Sniper Elite 3
  
• Scroll to the bottom of the page
  
• Click View Screenshot Library

Extra Reporting options

• Go to the user's Steam Community profile (Shift+Tab to open overlay if in game)
  
• Click on the large More button in the upper-right corner of the user's profile
  
• Click on the "Report Violation" button in this dropdown menu
  
• Select the "Suspected Cheater", add a description (include the game and the name of the cheat if known), and hit "Submit"

WARNING

Any posts calling someone out for cheating/hacking will be removed. It violates Steam's guidelines for naming/shaming. Repeat offenders may lose their forum access.

i agree with Kroden, if a admin or admins ask to look at your broadcast and you say no, then theres def some thing going on there, and also if you play on servers with that closed profile , you will not be on them for long.

MTZIGG, I feel your pain and there is no easy answer to your solution "Fix It"! Its alot more complicated that, I know some Devs have probs trying to sort these scum out but they always seem to be one step ahead. Sometimes i see people say well its just a game and people should not be too salty about these situations. (you should see the game "Conan Exiles" which i have and dont play now coz of the devs doing nothing regarding hackers and it has lost much credabillty, even though it has great potental. You bought the game Sniper Elite 4 and so did I, money has been handed over to them and this will never change till a Law is brought in where companies selling games have to comply to focusing more and trying to eliminate cheats, rather than sweeping it under the carpet and focus on there next money maker. Im I bitter! Yes, because this is a great game, well presented and ideas and being spoilt by again cheaters.

I have passed on many games just because of it. I will never pay full price ever for a game that has alot of focus on MP. .Thought I would give this franchise a shot but I saw this post
I am not even going to bother now. Would not even matter if it was just a few but it seems like the norm is to hack

i think you are taking one persons point here, there are many servers out there that have no vac or game ban cheaters on them, and all that i play on have a no closed profile policy , so in doing that the cheaters dont normaly come on them, and with vac scanning sniper elite 4 the chance of hackers are less, and as posted above , the ones that try and dont let people look at there game play or open profiles ect get ejected from the good servers.
i think mp is great and i feel you should give it a go

Hello, I find a suspected cheater but I forgot to take screen shot. Is it possible to report him?
He kills 10+ in 30 sec in NO CROSS. In night wood map (NO CROSS ), he ran up the cave and shoot at me as if he already know my position. However, there's many place that could watch the upper entrance. Also, It was 15 sec from the start of the game so it's impossible for his teamate to tag me.
In addition, his profile is private and he change his ID daily to avoid others to report his ID.

name change means nothing, if you have a link to his profile then go to www.steamrep.com and paste it in, it will give you his steam uid, thats the item needed , and then it dosnt mater how many name changes then they have him, also get OBS studio , its free and record all your games,
then save video to youtube, private settings and post to the devs here

Thank you for telling me the OBS studio, but I wont play with a cheater like him. However, private profile is enough for many servers to banned him.

There are cheaters in Sniper Elite 3 and I have been attacked by them! This kind of stuff really takes the wind out of my sails. I really like this Sniper Elite series and am just waiting for Sniper 4 to come down on price and then I am going to buy it (hint-hint). I have experienced this cheater crap in SIM racing also and it really sucks! It makes me want to quit gaming all-together. I really hate cheaters because just like thieves they take something that they did not earn. Rebellion please find a way to incorporate anti-cheat into the game itself rather than putting the responsibilty of catching cheaters and proving cheaters on to the honest hard working gamers that are your bread and butter. Find a way to keep cheaters from ruining a great game/sim, so those like me who really game fair and love their hobby can play without the fear of bieng ripped off by some cheater.

This is why i have not gotten on MP yet. I get tired of the cheaters and more i get tired of people complaining about the MP co-op being dead or so.

And that thread is annoying S.T it seriously is a waste of time to read.

Nothing more than a whine and dine me chain of comments glad they locked it.

and there is never a sure way to stop players from cheating.

And its always funny when someone changes their steam name.
It does nothing for em so let them change their names.

i cannot talk for the other server owners but we (SPH CLAN) are very agressive when it comes to cheating, we dont allow leader board hackers with level 250 on, we dont allow anyone who has showin they cheat by having a vac or game ban on and we dont allow glitch cheaters to, and we all try to play fair and keep it nice.
we allso monitor abusive language to , we hope that makes a better experence for the players.

Well, except for achievement cheaters. People that give themselves unearned achievements are allowed. At least since you personally used the Steam Achievement Manager and accidentally wiped out all your achievements instead of just giving yourself the last one you needed.

I'm curious how level 250's are any different from that. Both types of cheats stem from unethical behavior, and provide no advantage in multiplayer.
