Question about stealth challenge
Before you ask yes i do have the game but on the PS4 not pc, but why is stealth kills (knife kills) so hard to get.

In order to get 20 stealth kills (thats the challenge requirement) i need to kill 20 enemies with a knife whilst they are not on alert, not even the yellow alert status, the problem is that the crouch speed is so slow and their normal walk speed is faster then my crouch speed, if i run in stealth they hear me and it counts as an alert aka no stealth kill. How the hell am i supposed to get 20 unalert knife kills when stealth is so impossibly broken.

What I'd do?

Toss a rock, wait for them to be distracted. They will eventually return to their patrol and relax. While they're distracted, move to a location that they will pass by. Observation is really important in this game, making sure you're not in the way of someone or going to be surprised by a guard patrol. But by the same token, they can easily be surprised if you take up a position they already think is 'secure'.

Find a bush. Hide in the bush. Use rocks to get the target close. Use the whistle to bring them on in. Pop out of the bush and insert the knife in a variety of ways. If nobody else saw it, you just got the stealth kill.

Call me whatever you like, but if you want to fight broken with broken there's an unaware and stationary Nazi at the beginning of Bitanti Village. Save your game and then apply knife. Reload save game, reapply knife. Rise repeat.

That guy is also good for farming the grenade in belt challenges as well as the trench gun challenges.

And just about any other cheese you want to pull off. Poor sod, I've shot him, stabbed him, blown him up and perforated every organ in his body more times than either of us wants to remember. Few video game characters have ever had a worse life. :steamhappy:

Is it better or worse that I just shoot em and wander past? I mean, at least you guys are giving him some attention. I just kinda "BAM DONE".

The way I see it, he is asleep on the job. You had one job, slacker! You have this coming. *aims the flare gun*

Better. You're not cheesing the game the way I have. I fully upgraded 7 guns through normal gameplay, after that I decided "alright, I've done my bit" and resorted to cheesing the system. No regrets.

cant use the rock or whistle otherwise its classed as an alert, cant remember the name of the mission but its the one where you have to kidnap the german scientist kessler.

One of the mission challenges is 20 stealth kills, that means they have to be completely unaware, if i toss a rock when their icon on minimap turns yellow it means that they are slightly aware, if i kill them in their yellow alert state it doesnt count as a stealth kill.

The only kills that count are completely unaware (white status) knife kills, but like i was saying since they can walk faster then i can in crouch speed its bloody hard to try and get to them before they turn around, see me and become alerted.

Ah, I stand corrected on this then. I would say find the ones that are smokers since they hold still for a bit to light one up, as well as ones that walk past bushes or the corners of buildings or other cover. Setting up shop in narrow dimly lit corridors is also a good option. I suggest using a silenced pistol to shoot out lights to make it harder to spot you as they pass.

some pretty good suggestions ill keep this in mind cheers, the only other problem i have is with the challenge where i have to complete the mission without destroying any vehicles.

Technically its not hard to avoid destroying vehicles but every time i see a vehicle in game i have a sudden urge to shoot at the fuel tank, going through the entire mission and seeing all the vehicles knowing that if i shoot a single one i fail the challenge, man this game is cruel.

As far as I'm aware, no enemy has a faster walk speed than your crouching walk, so you should definitely be able to catch up.

Remember you also don't have to crouch walk the whole way to them (the aural range is a little further than the tip of your arrow on the minimap so you can crouch run some of the way), and you don't have to follow their path - if you can tell where they're headed, just take a shorter route and cut them off.

And finally, all patrols routes have moments where they stop to play an animation (checking their boots, drinking from their canteen etc.), so there's your chance to catch up.

In the Maggazeno Facilty mission, the challenge "to complete the mission without destroying any vehicles" . Be aware that the panzertherm is a vehicle even though it is stationary gun.

I have to say that there is something deeply satisfying about watching that bullet trigger an "unscheduled rapid disassembly event", especially when there are people in the back of a truck. The one that really got to me was the No Tagging challenge as I use the binocs more than anything shy of the rifle. I had to tape a thumb tack to the button to keep from using them to get it.
