Order of Battle Pacific has been updated! “Battle of Britain” is out!
Happy Battle of Britain Day!

Order of Battle: Pacific has been updated with free special content celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain!

The scenario starts on 12 June 1940 and lasts until 20 September 1940. The map covers England and the northern French, Belgian and Dutch coasts. It accurately portrays the changing German tactics in the battle, first focusing on the RAF airfields and later switching to the strategic bombing of cities. Several event pop ups help tell the story and outline the strategic situation of the battle.

You control the men and machines of the Royal Air Force and must protect British shipping and cities to keep the British Morale up. You win the scenario by destroying the German command’s desire to fight by downing bomber wings and reaching out to disrupt their preparations for Operation Sea Lion.

AI controlled allied convoys sail from the western edge of the map along the English Channel towards ports in London. Protecting these convoys not only prevents a morale penalty, but each ship arriving at the destination also provides the player with additional resources to assist the war effort.

Secondary objectives include protecting the vital Radar chain, the destruction of Stuka bomber units harassing the Atlantic Convoys and taking out a heavy German coastal gun battery which is bombarding the area around Dover.

Hi Games-UK,

After having launched the game, you need to go on the top right of the menu. From there you have to click to "dowload content" and install "Battle of Britain" from the list of Mods.

Hope it helps!

Hi,
I've updated the game, downloaded the BoB mod, restarted the game to play it.
Unfortunatly the text ressources don't show up if you're not using the english UI.
See the following screenshots:

I've tested it in the 3 foreign versions (french, german and spanish), results are the same.
Maybe you could display english text even if there isn't any translation yet.

By the way, thanks for this free update, this made me buy the game :)

Hi Gynsu, thanks for that post, we'll get that fixed right now!

Glad you like the game!

(in fact, if you delete and re-install the mod now from the DLC manager then you'll see the text (in English only))

Even though it doesn't make much sense to have a Battle of Britain DLC on a game about the Pacific Front, I'm really happy to see such content added for free. The mission briefing screen still has the table with the Katana and the US colt, you might want to change that for more immersion with a cup of tea and a nice revolver ;-p (Jingles voice over, ahah well done !)

Great stuff because I really like the game. Do you plan on changing the name of the game to simply "Order of Battle" then ?
Adherbal  [developer] Sep 15, 2015 @ 11:00am
Not sure what exactly will happen with the name yet, but various DLC is currently in production ("proper" DLC, with complete new campaigns etc). These will cover various theatres - some Pacific related, others... not ;-)

The plan is to turn this into a massive WW2 themed game which covers all the fronts. With the upcoming skirmish mode players will then be able to pick any (major) nation of WW2 and put it up against any other nation(s). US vs Japan, Russia vs Britain, Japan vs Germans or whatever you want :)

Hello. loving the game. However todays patch has produced several tech issues for me. One, the game now mandates that it be run under admin privledges --- BAD. Two. It is failing a CRC check for the core game ( I was able to fix this via the steam check local file function for the core game -- life is good) and the Battel of Brittian mod is also Failing as well --- which I am unable to fix (steam detects something wrong but subsequent game launches do not resolve the issue).
Great game.

Impossible to start from "Campaigns" = crash. If you want to launch from "Scenarios", it will start, but it will crash again after "Start briefing". Any suggestions?

Can you mail your output_log.txt file to contact@the-artistocrats.com?

And preferrably also your DxDiag file.

An update to my previous post. The game (both the core and mod) now run. Unfornutely, this only happens if I launch Steam first as Admin. This is not good on several fronts, and is probably a permission issue that got set --- somewhere. However what really Sucks is now -- 100 hours into the game --- all my previous saved games are not available to me. Please help.
