Ability to purchase ultimate edition upgrade.

This is more of a request to developers than discussion thread.

It would be nice if there was addition of Deluxe and Ultimate edition upgrades.

I bought basic version because i didn't know what to expect as it's my first atelier game. I enjoy it a lot and would like to support developers further. I really like the look of ultimate edition skin but buying game at full price just to get it is a bit too much.

Different version upgrades are common practice for games so it would be nice to have it for this as well.

if you did not invest any time yet, or you can reason it well enough, ask for a refund and buy the ultimate version instead. i cannot remember them ever offering upgrades. but aside the free extra skin between deluxe and digital, it's just the season pass as an extra i believe?

The "ultimate edition upgrade" is the "season pass". Yes, it's $5 more than deluxe. That's a choice they've made. If there was a different "upgrade" to ultimate, it'd be the same content as the season pass, but $5 cheaper. And that'd make no sense.

It *is* a little weird that there doesn't seem to be a DLC for the "colorful" stuff, though.

Not possible as i already am half way through the game. Knowing steam support they might believe me that i want to refund it to buy the ultimate edition but i wouldn't really want to bother them with stuff like that.

I just seen how that skin from ultimate looks in some streams and i like it so would like to grab it. And as i see i will spend over 70 hours in the game might as well support developers.

Whenever games add "upgrades" they are more expensive than outright buying full edition. So it wouldn't be cheaper than season pass.

Season pass itself doesn't have ultimate edition dress so it's not the same as having full ultimate upgrade.

You can attempt to refund it but I doubt it will go through since the automation really only takes playtime into account. I'm fairly certain the refund reason is only given to the developer to see why refunds got approved.

The ultimate is the dress cosmetic and 5 bucks discount on the season pass so worst case scenario just buying the season pass will net you 99% of the same result minus the dress

I do love the dress so I don't blame the desire

Likely not going to work. Refunds are accepted for less than two hours of gameplay within two weeks of purchase. OP is halfway through the game, no way they will go for that.

Steam support is generally great so if you explain situation well they might be ok with it. Then again i don't want to do it that way.
