Improve combat and movement system to be normal action game, untill it is too late
The combat system here looks like almost real time action with evasion from enemy moves. some strange features, like from strategy where battle "starts" and "ends" what are completely not nessesary here.
Short to say, you will improve the gameplay here in 100500 times if you make it normal action mechanics. Do not invent a bike with square wheels.

In details:
- remove battle start and battle end message with camera movement.
- this includes common camera movement around targeted enemy.
- remove annoying skill description in the middle of the screen.
- include usual attacks with left mouse button and shots with right mouse button during battle ( must be cancellable by dodge)

further smalles issures:
- Do not restrict camera vertical rotation in idle mode.
- Do not make strange things with camera, that camera cancels its vertical angle after releasing right mouse button.

And then, you will come to the question of skill ballancing, like make them less spamming, buit lets do not talk about that.

Together: the normal action game like that would be goat, both by mechanics and style, but in current half-action half- turn based ?? it looks like strange and not nessesary.

Yeah, please no, don't make it full action. It´s probably fine as it is, maybe even to actiony for my taste. This is a game about crafting mostly with a huge emphasis on making your own weapons, armors and items and beating the game through alchemy, not by doing flashy moves and combos.

I swear, it seems that lately every JRPG you can beat it without even changing the initial weapon. I'm so tired of that type of gameplay. Let action games be action games and let JRPG be JRPGs.

Fortunately, this wasn't going to happen anyway. The OP thinks this is already an action game with a "layer" added on top that the devs can remove.

That is not the case...but w/e.

I don't know how to break it to you, but they're not going to completely rewrite the combat system one day before the game releases just because a rando on the Steam forums tells them to do so.
