Hello and welcome! We’re happy to have you here. This post is meant to give you an idea of what Cryptic Tales is, along with our plans for it as a potential series of games. Crossroads is the first in the series.

It's a first-person psychological thriller anthology, inspired by the indie horror genre but with its own twists. Think The Twilight Zone! We want to explore science fiction elements from well known urban legends, while also introducing new concepts and relatable characters.

As a game, its design is intentionally simple. We’re upfront about it being a walking simulator. That said, we want each title to feature at least one or more unique mechanics. But our main focus is on delivering engaging, atmospheric narrative.

With our skills being best used in story and atmosphere, we’re now exploring games as a storytelling medium. Our hope is for this series to evolve as we create it, and as you experience it. Who knows what's possible!

We believe the gaming world needs more powerful, story-driven experiences. So we’re throwing our hat in the ring to bring some creepy and thrilling tales into the mix. Hope you look forward to it!
