1. Restart Steam
2. Reboot PC
3. Verify integrity of Game Files of Dead or Alive 5 Last Round.
Let me know if it works or what happens.
I just tried all 3, files were all successfully verified, but I still get the popup after a match.
What popup message exactly? An error message? And tell me exactly what is says in the popup.
Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing DOA5LR on your computer recently?
Is an online network issue?
How about the screen resolution? Sometimes playing on an unsupported resolution may create errors.
What are your hardware specifications? Meeting requirements on hardware and updating your drivers for gaming may help with your errors.
Lastly, I know you have already verified but just sharing again, verifying the game cache can help fix errors.
Let me know what happens..
It's just a popup that says "Dead or Alive 5 Last Round"
I'm going to try verifying the cache and reinstalling the game. the resolution I'm playing on is the default.
I recommend to try the resolution setting 1280x720 and windowed if possible. You can launch the config GUI for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round when clicking play from your library and clicking the config option under launch Dead or Alive 5 Last Round.
Also, check and make sure your drivers on your pc are up to date. Next, I’d recommend checking if a version of Directx9 or later is installed on your PC, not having Directx installed can cause errors.
EDIT: I had one more thought: Is the game save file write protected?
There are tools that allow you to remove the part of the game save that ties it to your account. They are not easy to find, may not work on the current version and frankly I didn't trust that the downloads wouldn't contain a virus, or at least I didn't think it was worth the risk. It was a rabbit hole I went down when I first got the game on PC (I have it on PS4 disk and just unlocked all the outfits with the cheat that doesn't work on PC). Anyway, I can't tell you how/where to get such a thing because I just decided not to try it. In the end I just decided to unlock the outfits by actually playing the game.
Anyway, I said to provide an option that maybe you could remove the protection from your own game save, silly as that may sound. Outside of all that it would seem that maybe you'll just have to unlock everything again.
The instructions are:
The file must be placed in your save folder, the path usually looks like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\XXXXXXXXX\311730\remote\USER_DATA_5Z
Create the remote folder yourself if it's missing.
I hope this works.
