Why does everyone hate the pilots starter?

So, my 2 favorite characters are the pilot and the convict. However, everyone always says the pilots pistol is absolute crap, but it seems like it works well and the accuracy is fine. What's the big deal with it?

The accuracy is fine but not as fine as the marine. If the marine wasn't there everyone's starter pistol would be perfectly fine as a beginner level weapon

I think the best is The Robot's starter gun or The bullet's starter sword.

The best starter pistol is the Rusty Sidearm.

Pilot's pistol has the worst damage, worst reload time, slowest bullet movement (they physically travel slower), tied-for-worst rate of fire, and worst accuracy. It's objectively the worst starter pistol in just about every category.

I am with you convict's is the best. Does more damage, excellent rate of fire, next to nothing reload time. Not much else you can even ask for. Trade off vs. Hunter is the accuracy, but I'd rather take the increased rate of fire for my personal tastes.

It's not objectively worse. It has a larger mag size than most others and shares the same damage as the marine sidearm. If it was actually literally outclassed in every category it would be objectively worse.

For example, it is objectively worse than the robots right hand but not the rusty sidearm. The rusty sidearm does more damage per shot but still takes 3 shots to take out a bullet kin on the first floor, just like the rogue special.

People love to break two first chests with pilots speciall thinking 'blue-browns aint worth keys' and get stuck with low accurate gun for first boss fight.

Pilot's pistol is only good enough for the first chamber because of the inaccuracy and the low reach of the bullets. The Pilot can lockpick, buy everything with discounts and carry more active items and bullets because because he can't rely on his main weapon and needs to find another weapon before fighting the first boss.

if you say you feel the oppsite youre trolling or you need to play more
everyone knows the pilots pistol sucks
but he has lockpick, lower prices and another item slot to compesate that starter gun

checked your profile and you only 18 hours, try the other characters and unlock the hidden other ones
and compare whats accuracy and whats not accuracy

I have tried all 4 characters, the convict and now the hunter are my favorite, and Pilot is VERY close behind the Convict. I've used plenty of weapons, and the Pilots pistol has better accuracy then plenty of Weapons.

And also no, I'm not trolling. I would say the Accuracy of the Pilots is a small, small bit worse then the Hunters Pistol, which has great accuracy.

the bullet has the best starting weapon, one of the best weapons in the whole game. it makes getting lead god easy. some bosses you can just stand still and not even need to move
